1 Piece (approximate weight is 11-15lbs)
Orange watermelon is similar in appearance to the standard red watermelon. It has light green rind with deep green stripes. The rich orange flesh inside is both juicy and extremely refreshing! The flavor can vary from mildly to super sweet! This variety is "seedless" as it contains very minimal seeds comparative to a regular melon. Orange watermelons, classified as Citrullus lanatus, are a naturally occurring fruit from cross-breeding. This fruit is an excellent source of fiber, beta-carotene and vitamins A and C.
Ripening and Storage:
A whole, uncut watermelon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week or at room temperature for a few days. Cut watermelon should be wrapped in plastic or in a sealed container, refrigerated and consumed within 2 to 3 days.
Cut this as you would any regular watermelon and enjoy! Watermelon can be eaten as is, in fruit salads, smoothies, desserts and other summertime treats!
