All natural, unprocessed, fresh almonds grown in California! These green almonds are regular almonds that have been intentionally harvested immaturely. They have an edible fuzzy light green skin that traditionally hardens and turns brown when the almonds mature. The immature almonds inside the green skin have a more delicate taste than traditional almonds. Green almonds are crunchy, tart, somewhat like an unripe peach.
Ripening and Storage:
These are ready to eat when you receive them. They will keep for a week in the refrigerator.
Enjoy these green almonds whole, fuzzy skin and all, or remove the skin to eat just the young almond inside. Some may enjoy these with a sprinkle of salt as well.
